We offer training in radio and/or TV.
Our aim is to make your spokesperson an accomplished and confident performer – one that broadcasters will want to invite back.
The training will give you a comprehensive overview of the broadcast industry – highlighting how to make it work for you. Our courses aim to help you generate maximum impact from every broadcast interview you do.
A successful broadcast interview gives the journalist the sound bite or interview they want, at the same time as being a platform for you to deliver your key messages. All our trainers have both journalistic and PR experience, the ideal combination to help you achieve this balance.
We can help you:
The course is a largely practical one, using trainers experienced in journalism and PR, alongside former ITN or BBC camera crews and sound engineers.
Spokespeople take part in multiple interviews, followed by in-depth feedback.
The course is tailor made for you – interviews focus on the issues and topics that you are most likely to be interviewed on.
The training can be studio based or we can bring our camera crews and radio equipment to your offices.
"Adecco arranged a number of media training sessions with Shout! Communications for our CEO, Board of Directors and other senior spokespeople, representing our five different brands. The training we received was well organised, professional, up-to-date and tailored to our sector and specific requirements. I was very impressed with the preparation Catherine and Keren put into the sessions. The team really enjoyed the training sessions, and found the feedback really useful. We now feel very well prepared to face the media....and am sure will be heading back to Shout! for more training and broadcast work. Great work guys - thanks very much!
Katie Siegel - Head of Communications and Public Relations, Adecco
“Shout! Communications trained the Citizens Advice Bureau across the organisation from policy makers to the chief executive. The format and content were excellent and we liked their sympathetic and encouraging approach.
The CAB has worked closely with Shout! to deliver high quality bespoke broadcast media training and the attendees without exception found their training invaluable. The day was particularly beneficial in building confidence and our ability to focus on our messaging. The CAB now has a confident and polished team who I know can handle broadcast interviews"
Catherine Torrazo - Senior Press Officer, Citizens Advice Bureau
“Thanks for this absolutely brilliant day and everyone came away greatly enthused. By taking a role-play approach to training, Shout! Communications gave us the best possible preparation. We thought the scenarios were very realistic. We learned how to take control, whilst not appearing arrogant and to show concern without seeming weak”
Steven Kay, MD Cambridge Water
"We were extremely pleased with the level and style of media training provided by Shout! Communications. Shout's approach worked very well with our partners. Using ex-broadcast journalists who understand PR was no doubt the key to this successful session".
Jennifer Abbott, Senior PR Officer, Kingston Smith LLP
"Having a working TV cameraman gives participants a real flavour and understanding of the media world and what journalists are after. The comments we received back from the delegates tell us they found the training invaluable"
Andy Rogers, Communications Manager CEDR (Centre for Effective Dispute Resolution)
