A good radio interview requires different skills than a TV opportunity, and this is the essence of our radio media training.
For most of us listening to the radio is an accompaniment to something else we’re doing – it’s there as a background whilst you drive a car, work in an office or cook a meal at home.
With no visual signals you have to learn other techniques to engage the listener and to give a purposeful and impactful radio interview.
Our training will show you the difference between a pre recorded interviews, from which a radio journalist is likely to extract a clip or soundbite and a live interview, which gives you the opportunity to take more editorial control.
Today broadcasters are much more commercially aware. By the end of the training you will understand exactly where you should pitch your message and securing good branding without offending the journalist.
