Shout! Communications was set up in 2003 by national broadcast journalists Keren Haynes and Catherine Bayfield. Since then we’ve grown to become one of London’s leading broadcast agencies.

We provide brands and organisations with cutting edge, quality broadcast PR services. Our offering of video production and distribution, combined with media relations, means we are perfectly placed to promote our clients on television, online and radio.

Keren Haynes

Before becoming a PR Consultant Keren was a Senior Broadcast Journalist in the BBC’s Business Unit. You could have heard her on Radio 4’s Today Programme, Radio 5’s Drivetime and Radio 2’s main business slot as well as BBC1 summaries, News Channel and BBC World Service TV.

Prior to the BBC she worked as a News Editor at ITN. At Sky News Keren was a general reporter and she read the news on ITV Central in Birmingham.  She has worked as a journalist in the Middle East and Hong Kong but first cut her teeth in broadcasting in local radio in the UK.

Catherine Bayfield
Catherine Bayfield

Catherine was a Senior Producer at ITV, deciding which items would be used on programmes like LK Today and Daybreak’s predecessor GMTV. At London Tonight she was Head of Planning. She has also worked as a producer/guest booker at Sky News and was the producer of The Richard Littlejohn show on Sky One.

Catherine began her career in regional radio, and then moved on to regional TV as a reporter, producer and newsreader. As a PR consultant Catherine specialises in video production and media relations.

Our Story

Keren and Catherine trained together as journalists, and crossed paths many times as they each worked their way up from regional radio and television to the national newsrooms of the UK’s most watched TV and radio news programmes.

Neither Keren or Catherine are the sort of people who allow the grass to grow under their feet, so at the peak of their broadcast careers, in 2003, the time seemed ripe for a new challenge…
They became broadcast PR consultants, setting up and establishing Shout! Communications as one of London’s leading broadcast PR agencies.

Shout! began life in a back bedroom in Ealing, but quickly moved to Covent Garden where we now have a state of the art studio and in-house teams for media relations and video production made up of broadcast journalists, PR consultants and video experts, their heritage setting the bar high in terms of the quality of the work the agency produces.

We see ourselves as poachers turned gamekeepers. Today so much of broadcast news and daytime programming is PR-generated. So who better to create this sort of content than a team of people who for years had helped produce the news.
